Cypress Bartlett is a drummer, producer/arranger and educator from Sydney/ Central Coast who has performed in a broad range of productions including; Hadestown (Opera Australia), RENT - Opera House 2021 & National Tour 2024 (Sugar Rum Productions), Dear Even Hansen (Sydney Theatre Company 2024), Merrily We Roll Along (Luckiest Productions - AMD/ Drums) Come From Away (New Theatricals), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare AMD/ Drums), Wizard of Oz (Prospero Arts), NIDA (Sweeny Todd 2023, Falsettos 2022, Mr. Burns: A post-electric play 2021), and for artists such as Bernie Dieters 'Club Kabarett’, The Italian Tenors, Songs in the Key of Motown (Abstract Entertainment), P&O Cruises (Fine Lines Entertainment), musically directs for international artist Zoe K, and is the music director for Kaya Byrne and produced his debut EP Belladonna Supernova. Cypress also has released a self-produced album muse.
Beyond performing, Cypress has had the privilege of orchestrating/ arranging and/ or preparing sheet music for; Dubbo Championship Wrestling, and Young Frankenstein (The Hayes Theatre Co.), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare), Scouts NSW, Joe Accaria (Repercussions) and Marcia Hines.
Cypress has obtained a BA in music (Australian Institute of Music) and a Masters Degree in teaching (University of Newcastle).
