Cypress Bartlett is a drummer, producer/arranger and educator from Sydney/ Central Coast who has performed in a broad range of productions including; RENT - Opera House 2021 & National Tour 2024 (Sugar Rum Productions), Dear Even Hansen (Sydney Theatre Company 2024), Merrily We Roll Along (Luckiest Productions - AMD/ Drums) Come From Away (New Theatricals), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare AMD/ Drums), Wizard of Oz (Prospero Arts), NIDA (Sweeny Todd 2023, Falsettos 2022, Mr. Burns: A post-electric play 2021), and for artists such as Bernie Dieters 'Club Kabarett’, The Italian Tenors, Songs in the Key of Motown (Abstract Entertainment), musically directs for international artist Zoe K, and is the music director for Kaya Byrne as well as produced his debut EP Belladonna/ Supernova.
Beyond performing, Cypress has had the privilege of orchestrating/ arranging and/ or preparing sheet music for; Dubbo Championship Wrestling, and Young Frankenstein (The Hayes Theatre Co.), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare), Scouts Australia, Joe Accaria (Repercussions) and Marcia Hines.
Cypress has obtained a BA in music (Australian Institute of Music) and a Masters Degree in teaching (University of Newcastle).
